Sometimes it's quite difficult to take a vacation because you have to be 'on' all the time just in case something sets your child off, or in just having to take care of your child 1:1 while on any trip.
I just saw this cruise package which may be something which might be a nice vacation.
We've mainly taken our family vacations visiting family or going to disney properties (Disneyland, Disneyworld). We're thinking about this, and might do it next year.

It will be nice to take a break from the sadness of autism to have a laugh and support a good cause.
We got the results back and the MRI shows nothing odd, very normal. Very similar result to the normal EEG. We probably need to go for a functional MRI to see the areas (Herschel's Gyrus L/R) which are not working, and the appropriate connections. Unfortunately we've been told they are unable to do a functional MRI on Aloke because he cannot sit still long enough to do the test. Not a great result, but at least we know. Going forward, the better diagnostic information seems to come from the QEEG (Beam Test) and the PET scan.
We're going to have an MRI done for Aloke today. We looking again for pathways in the brain that are not working so that we can try and target these specifically. It's another way we can triangulate, along with the QEEG and PET scans.
Mona's cousin, Deboleena is doing a walk for Autism Cares. She's doing it to raise money for Austism research. My son mentioned on the site is Autistic.
