SOX WIN!!!
Great win, great year. Incredible season, almost wire to wire leaders with the best record in baseball. John Lester, Timlin, and Paps sack up big time.
Boston hitting comes thru, esp at the top of the lineup.
Rockies came back to make it a game 6-5, then the Sox blew it open scoring 4 runs in the 8th against Fuentes.
With some insurance, extra insurance anyway from Mike Lowell, who stole 3rd and then scored on Varitek's sac fly.
Different game, very tight, solid pitching. Result is the same Sox win.
High leverage performance by Oki!
0.414, held the angels to 0.187.
Beckett dominance, offensive dominance. Francis is usually the type of pitcher who gives the sox problems. Not tonight.
There were 2 major momentum shifts in the game.
The Sox started the game well, scoring 3, one in each of the first 3 innings, then Cle came on scoring 2, looked they would take control. Their momentum got killed on 1) bad call on Lofton being out at 2nd, and 2) in the 7th on Lofton not being sent home on a hit that bounced off the box in left.
In the 7th and 8th the ceiling fell in on them with the sox pouring it on. Main damage
Dustin 2-run homer in 7th, Dustin 3-run double in 8th, Youk 2-run homer in the 8th.
Games were closer than the scores in games 2 & 7.

Dustin comes up BIGGGG, so does Dice-K, Paps bails out Oki for the six out save. Win the series 4-3. Cleveland was a very worthy opponent. We'll see them again in future playoff series. Welcome Colorado. Will have a few thoughts on the ALCS, and World Series tomorrow. Too jacked to be coherent, now!
Great pitching performance from Curt. Way to sack up. Same for JD Drew, 3 for 5, 5 RBI, 6 Bases
Manny's streak ended ;(, but got another RBI.
